Welcome to the AIM Device. Welcome to the future.

VISUALIZE HOW AIM DEVICE TRANSFORMS TRANSSEPTAL ACCESS

The worldwide number of transseptal (TS) procedures has reached over 1 million annually. Safety, speed, and precision crossing the atrial septum is of ever growing importance in the field. It is time for a better TS access solution.

The Advanced Intravascular Maneuvering device (AIM device) is purpose-built to achieve TS access with clear advantages over current technology.

Our 14Fr AIM device incorporates our own (proprietary) ICE catheter into a single, streamlined TS access solution.

KEY AIM DEVICE FEATURES & FUNCTIONS

1ST COMBINED IMAGING AND TS ACCESS DEVICE

1ST COMBINED IMAGING AND TS ACCESS DEVICE

1ST COMBINED IMAGING AND TS ACCESS DEVICE

Integration of a needle guide directly into the ICE catheter is a proprietary feature of the AIM device that improves the current method of obtaining TS access by:

  • Maintaining the needle guide (and TS wire when deployed) in constant view of the ultrasound array, thereby providing continuous visualization for the operator and reducing technical demands of the procedure

  • Enabling extremely precise puncture site targeting on the septum, and virtually eliminating the risk of an off target puncture

  • Providing immediate direct access to the fossa ovalis without needing to first catheterize the superior vena cava

FULLY INTEGRATED Steerable NEEDLE GUIDE

1ST COMBINED IMAGING AND TS ACCESS DEVICE

The integrated needle guide feature provides safety and speed:

  • The needle guide is stowed completely within the confines of the ICE catheter during transit, allowing the AIM device to maneuver through the vasculature just like a standard ICE catheter without risk of inadvertent injury

  • Once in the right atrium, the needle guide can be extended and angled up to 75ᵒ via a control on the device handle

  • After completing the TS puncture, the needle guide can be re-stowed if the AIM device needs to be advanced across the atrial septum

MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY AND PRECISION

1ST COMBINED IMAGING AND TS ACCESS DEVICE

TRADITIONAL OR RF WIRE COMPATIBILITY

Both the catheter tip and extruded needle guide are flexible and independently steerable for maximum intra-atrial maneuverability and precision:

  • This allows for customization of the puncture angle from the device handle — No more removing and bending the transseptal needle

  • The needle guide stylet contains a highly echogenic tip, facilitating maximum visualization

  • Once the echogenic stylet tents the target puncture site on the fossa ovalis, the TS puncture wire is deployed from the needle guide to complete the puncture

TRADITIONAL OR RF WIRE COMPATIBILITY

ERGONOMIC HANDLE WITH STANDALONE IMAGING

TRADITIONAL OR RF WIRE COMPATIBILITY

The AIM device is designed to accommodate most TS wire types, including currently available radiofrequency (RF) wires or Exactice's own TS wire.

Simply insert the wire of choice and AIM can take care of the rest.

Handle design for the AIM device has been engineered using design feedback from multiple leading electrophysiologists and interventional cardiologists.

The AIM device ultrasound imaging technology is compatible with any laptop computer and if desirable, may be ported directly into existing cath lab monitors via HDMI or optical cable.

SIMPLIFIED WORKFLOW

The AIM device allows for a simplified workflow with fewer steps and minimal exchanges.

No need to advance wires, sheaths, or needles into the SVC and pull back into the right atrium. With the AIM device, the fossa ovalis can be targeted immediately when the device reaches the right atrium, thereby saving time and eliminating the potential "start over" loop from transseptal access workflow.
