Mr. Wood is the Acting CEO at Exactice.  He has founded and led several biotech/life sciences companies, fundraised from the seed-stage up to and including an IPO, built world-class management teams, established and scaled company operations, and executed transformative BD deals.  He earned his BS in molecular and cell biology from UC Berkeley, and he earned his MBA from University of Chicago.  

As President and co-founder of Exactice Medical, Dr. Naumann combines clinical expertise in Interventional Radiology with a passion for early-stage medical device development to solve real clinical problems and improve patient outcomes. He received his BS from the University of Notre Dame, medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, and Interventional Radiology training at Northwestern University in Chicago.

 Dr. Brannigan, originally from Ohio, moved to California to attend UCSD Medical School, where he received his medical degree, completed his Radiology residency, and served as chief resident from 1990-1991. In 1992, he joined X-Ray Medical Group in San Diego, specializing in Interventional Radiology for the past 30 years. 

A former equity partner at Ropes & Gray LLP, Aaron Katz is a nationally recognized litigator and healthcare regulatory expert. He has provided regulatory and strategic advice to Exactice since the company's founding.

Dr. Giacalone has served as a strategic advisor to Exactice over the last several years. Leveraging his experience as CEO of Vaxiion Therapeutics, a privately-held clinical stage biotechnology company, he provides strategic input on product development, regulatory, business development and execution strategy for the company. 

 Dr. Mourlas is a seasoned healthcare innovator, investor, and advisor. Formerly Head of JLABS San Diego and part of Johnson & Johnson Innovation, he led numerous R&D collaborations and equity investments across medical devices and therapeutics. A serial entrepreneur, he founded and led several medtech companies acquired by
major healthcare firms. 

Nick holds a PhD from Stanford and engineering degrees from Dartmouth.
